How do I set up the New Admin AJAX (Beta) Feature?
What is AJAX?
In other words, let's say you navigate to a page, change a setting and click save. Under normal circumstances, the following would occur:
With AJAX, the requests are all done with the server behind the scenes. This means that it is possible to update parts of a web page without reloading the whole page. So our example above may now look like this:
So rather than having the page reload each and everytime a request is made, AJAX helps minimize the time you're waiting for actions to complete by having everything done in the background.
How do I turn on the feature?
To turn on the Admin AJAX feature, follow these steps:
Remember that the feature is still in its beta phase so it might cause some odd effects from time to time. Fortunately, the effects are never permanent and can be negated simply by turning the AJAX function off and reloading whatever page you were working on. Just follow the same steps above to turn the AJAX function back off.
