Your new Shift4Shop Online store includes a free domain name registration. To claim it, follow these steps:
- Log into your Shift4Shop Store Manager
- Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Settings >General >Store Settings
- On the Settings page, locate and click on the "Manage Domain & Store URL" button
- On the next page, look towards the top right and click on "Get a Free Domain"
Important
If you already have a domain name associated with your Shift4Shop store, you will not see the "Get a Free Domain" button described above. If you are attempting to change your domain, please click on the "Change Store Domain" button instead. This button is located at the bottom right corner of the Primary Domain section.
Following the Change Domain process, you'll be given instructions on the proper DNS, CNAME or A record changes to make to your domain. Click here for more information.
- Enter your desired domain name in the provided field
(*.net or *.com domains only)
- Then click on the "Register Domain" button
Note
If the domain is available for registration, we will register it for you and automatically assign it to your store. You will also be notified via email when registration is complete.
If the domain is already taken, you will be notified by the system so you can try a different domain.
