How do I set up my Store's Pay with Amazon function?

Amazon's payment method can be easily added to your 3dcart store by taking the following steps:

Please Note
3dcart's Amazon Pay module can only be used with U.S. Amazon accounts. Also, be aware that the payment method is not compatible with HTML4 templates. Therefore you will also need to make sure your site is using an HTML5 or Core theme in order to use it.

  1. Log into your 3dcart Online Store Manager
  2. Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Settings >Payment
  3. Click the "Select Payment" button under the Payment Methods section.

Under the "Recommended Payment Solutions section, you will see "Amazon Pay" and a brief description of the payment method. To the far right of the payment option, you will see a toggle switch set to the "off" position. To continue:

  1. Click on the Amazon Pay toggle switch to turn the module on and begin the onboarding process.

During the onboarding process, you'll be taken to a page where you can either create a new Amazon Pay merchant account or sign into your existing account. Once you complete the process of creating (or configuring your existing) merchant account, you'll be directed back to your 3dcart Online Store Manager and the payment method will be activated.

Note:
If you were previously integrated with the earlier version of this payment method (Pay with Amazon), the integration will attempt to use your previous login credentials. This means there's a chance that you may be able to bypass the onboarding login process altogether. If you are asked to log into your Amazon Pay account, then please do so as the previous credentials likely didn't carry over from the previous connection.

Congratulations! Your store is now connected to the Amazon Pay service.

Additional Information: Please note that the new Amazon Pay also utilizes an updated checkout wallet template as part of the normal chekcout HTML templates. If you have custom edits to your checkout page templates, please be sure to revert them back to the common folder templates to ensure the proper coding is being displayed and used for the checkout.
