How are Customer Receipts used on the POS App?

Customer Receipts

After the order is completed, you will be presented with a quick summary of the order similar to the one shown below. The summary will show you the invoice number, the total order amount that was processed, and change due to the customer (if paid in cash) and a button to start a new order.

From this view, you can also select how the receipt will be given to the customer.

  • Print Receipt
    Tapping the "Print Receipt" button will print the receipt for the customer (using your device's connected network printer). The receipt will contain the line items of the order as well as any special text customizations that you've applied to the receipt in the settings area.
  • E-mail Receipt
    Tapping this button will allow you to enter the customer's email address and send them the receipt.

Tip
As mentioned previously, the POS App will not send the emailed receipt from your iPad device, but rather from your 3dcart store (connected to the app). If for some reason the email does not go out in a timely manner, be sure to try synchronizing the mail queue in the App's Synchronizations menu.
