How Do I Set Up Facebook Commerce? |
|
The following article will help you set up the Facebook Commerce module for listing products on your Facebook for Business account. Note Be aware though that disconnecting the old module in favor of the new one will effectively reset the integration and clear your settings. In which case, you will need to go through the onboarding process all over again. Please consider this carefully before proceeding with integrating the new module from the old. Onboarding the Facebook Commerce Module
Here's where you'll begin the Onboarding process.
This will prompt you to log into your Facebook login or - if you are already logged in - continue onto your Facebook account. Note Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your Shift4Shop store to Facebook Additional Information Also note that - if you have an Instagram account associated with your Facebook login - you will also see an option to connect to your IG account during the onboarding process as well. You will also be granting permissions to the module to help manage the account and function properly during this process. Facebook Commerce Settings PageOnce the onboarding process is complete, the module settings page will refresh and look like the following: At the top of the page you will see your various Facebook IDs. Then, on the bottom half of the page, you'll see the following settings:
*Additional Information Feed ProductsProducts for Facebook Commerce are fetched from your Shift4Shop store daily via a special CVS export file. In order to include products on this special CSV file, you will need to use the Enhanced Catalog for Feeds function on each product. The enhanced catalog function will allow you to specify attributes on each product that Facebook Commerce will use for synchronization. Click here for more information on using the Enhanced Catalog for Feeds function. Note It is important to note that the fetching and synchronization of flagged products will take some time depending on the size of your catalog. Typically the CSV fetch will occur once a day, but you may also click on the "Fetch Now" button to manually process the request when you make updates to products. Again, depending on the size of your catalog however, the process may take some time. Launch Management ViewAt the top right of the settings page, you will see a button labeled "Launch Management View" which will take you to your Facebook Business Manager (on Facebook). This will allow you to manage your Business settings as well as create ads, review your catalog and more. Note that - when setting up the Facebook Commerce integration - a special API access was created from your Shift4Shop store and your Facebook business account. You will see these listed under the Partners and System Users sections of the Facebook Business Settings. Removing these from your Facebook Settings will prevent the module from working correctly, so please do not remove or edit these unless you are planning to remove the module integration altogether. Disconnecting The ModuleShould you ever decide to disconnect the Module from your Facebook Business Account, simply click on the "Disconnect" button found at the top right of the page. (It's located next to the "Launch Management View" button) | |
