Zapier is an automation service that will let you create "trigger & action" processes (called "Zaps") between two web applications. For example, a "trigger" could be an event like a new customer registering on your Shift4Shop store while an "action" would be having details of that customer's record posted to a different web application like SalesForce.
Here's how to get started:
How do I connect Shift4Shop to Zapier?
To locate the Shift4Shop/Zapier connector, log into your Zapier account and search for "Shift4Shop" to begin the setup process
When creating a Shift4Shop Zap, you will be asked to connect it to your Shift4Shop account. A separate pop up "Application Authorization Request" window will appear to let you authorize the connection to your store's API
For this window, be sure to enter your store's secure URL in the provided field and click "Proceed"
Note If you are not connected to your Shift4Shop store's Online Store Manager, you'll be prompted to log in. After logging in, you will be prompted to authorize and accept permissions for the app to access your store's information.
Once the connection is completed you can start creating an automation! Use a pre-made Zap or create your own with the Zap Editor. Creating a Zap requires no coding knowledge and you'll be walked step-by-step through the setup.

TIP If you experiencing any issues with your Zap not running, we recommend going into Zapier's interface and turning the Zap off and on again. This may help to alleviate any issues. If any issues persist after this, please contact our Support Team for assistance as needed.
Important We also offer a Zapier module under the Modules page in the Store Manager. The Settings here allow for you to specify endpoints for the events listed (Order New, Order Status Change, Customer New) along with the ability to test them or view logs. This feature is only for Zaps not created through the Shift4Shop app on Zapier's end. These fields will be left empty if you are using our app on their system, and will be automatically applied to your store after creating them on Zapier's end.
