How do I integrate my Store with USPS for Real-Time Shipping Calculation?

 

Your Shift4Shop store can be integrated with the main shipping carriers in order to provide your customers with real-time shipping calculations for their orders.

This guide will show you how to set up your store with USPS Shipping methods.


Confirming You Are Connected

If you would like to confirm if you are connected to USPS for real-time shipping, you can with the following steps:

  1. Log into your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager
  2. Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Settings >Shipping
  3. Click on the "Edit Settings" button located under Shipping Settings
  4. Under Real-Time Shipping Settings, look for USPS and click See More
  5. You will see the following confirmation message:

Note:
With the updated integration, merchants do not need to connect a USPS account to their Shift4Shop store. USPS is already connected using Shift4Shop’s shared account and all merchants will receive standard rates using it.

Adding USPS Shipping Methods

Once you have confirmed you are connected with USPS, you can proceed with adding Shipping Methods to your Shift4Shop store. This will allow customers to actually place orders with USPS Shipping Methods. To do so:

  1. Log into your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager
  2. Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Settings >Shipping
  3. Click on the "Select Methods" button located under Shipping Methods
  4. Navigate to the USPS section on this page, and click on Add New
  5. In the modal window, select which shipping method(s) you wish to add and click Add Method

You are done integrating your Store to USPS and can now use Real-Time Shipping Calculation for USPS shipping methods.
