Why am I getting this error with the Quickbooks Web Connector?

 
  • Issue:
    Merchants using the Quickbooks Web Connector plugin are getting "QBWC1039: There was a problem adding the application." upon opening up the QWC file.
  • Cause:
    The user running the web connector doesn't have access to the company file

If you are using Shift4Shop's Quickbooks Web Connector plugin, you must also have full access rights to the Company file that Quickbooks is using.

In some cases a user may be accessing the company file through a network rather than on their specific computer/work station, so access rights might not be granted.

To correct this, ask your network's administrator to grant you rights to the file.
