Google's Address Autofill (for CORE Themes) feature can assist your shoppers in quickly entering their address information when filling out your store's checkout form.
When entering the first few digits of their billing/shipping address information, the Autofill function will appear with suggested locations for the user to select.
When their applicable location is selected, the rest of the information will auto populate onto the form fields.

Beginning with Shift4Shop version 9.1, the Address Autofill function will also work on Phone Orders as you create a new customer record.
To enable Google Address Autofill on your store, follow these steps:
Note To integrate your store with Google Address Autofill, you will need sign up for and create a Google Places API key. You may get information on this and begin the process by clicking here.
When setting up your Places API access, be sure to also enable the Maps JavaScript API under APIs in the Google Cloud Platform Console.

- Log into your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager
- Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Modules
- Once at the modules page, use the search bar at the top to search for "Google Address Autofill" and locate the module.
- When the module appears, click on the "Settings" button.
This will open up a popup modal with a field for your Google Places API key
- Enter your Google Address API Key
- Then click the Save button at the bottom right of the popup modal.
The popup modal will disappear and the store will tell you the setting is saved.
- Now, mark the "Enable" checkbox on the module
- Click "Save" at the top right of the page.
Your store will now have the Google Address Autofill function added.

When creating your Google API key, be sure to restrict the application's use so that it is only used by your website. More information is available here.
