How do I prevent specific countries from using my store?

There may be times when you would like to prevent certain countries from being able to use your store and place orders on it. For these situations, the easiest method to employ would be to edit your store's country list so that it only includes those countries that you do want to sell to.

The purpose of this method would be to make only the countries that you are willing to sell and ship to as part of the drop down menus when shoppers attempt to place orders and check out of your store. In other words, as the shopper places their order and they proceed to checkout to fill in their billing and shipping address; the only countries they'd be able to select would be the countries of your choosing.

To employ this method, use the following steps.

1. Log into your Shift4Shop Online Store Manager
2. Using the left hand navigation menu, go to Settings >Shipping
3. Once at the shipping page, scroll down until you seee the "Country List" section and click on the "Edit Countries" button.

This page will contain a list of all the countries that your store's ordering actions can be made applicable to. By default your store is set to have them all selected.

To unselect all of the pre-selected countries:

4. Click on the checkbox located at the top of the list (right next to "Country Name") twice.

This will remove the checkmarks from all of the countires on the list.

5. Now, select only the countries that you do wish to deal with.
   (They are listed alphabetically)
6. Click "Save" at the top right of the page.

Now, only your selected countries will appear at the top of the list. This will then make it so that your selected countries are the only ones shown on the store's checkout billing/shipping sections.
