How do I specify Custom File Names?

Introduction

The custom file name feature allows you to rename your product, category, and extra web page URLs to anything you need. Essentially, the root domain name will always be the same, but the extension of the URL can be modified.

For example, if you sell a product for an exercise DVD, Shift4Shop may automatically generate your product URL to be:

http://[your-domain]/Workout-DVD_p_12345-67.html

With the custom file name feature, your can rename the URL to be:

http:// [your-domain]/exercise-dvd.html

Note: Custom file names cannot contain spaces, or forward slashes. And while we do recommend ending custom file names in .html, please note that this is not required to do so.
