Shift4Shop supports the use of Apple Pay and Google Pay through the following Payment Methods:
- Shift4 Payments
- PayPal
- Stripe
To ensure a smooth checkout experience and prevent conflicts regarding configuration, these digital wallets can only be enabled through one single payment method at a time. For example, if you have Apple Pay enabled on PayPal, you cannot also enable it on Stripe. Likewise, you cannot enable Google Pay on one payment method if you have Apple Pay enabled on another.
If you attempt to enable Apple Pay or Google Pay across multiple Payment Methods at a time, a warning message will display. This message will read:
You need to disable Apple Pay/Google Pay on [Payment Method Name] before enabling it on [Payment Method Name]
This will inform you of which method is utilizing this feature, and which one you are trying to enable it for.
